We’re very pleased to announce that two Lagoon 450s gained first results in the multihull sections of both the 2014 ARC and the ARC+
The ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) now attracts over 200 boats and 1200 people every year to sail 2700 NM across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Saint Lucia. The Arc+ comprises of two legs and stops at Cape-Verde on route.
The Polish Lagoon 450 Blue Waves won the 2014 ARC Multihull Division on corrected time. The 14-metre catamaran covered the 2680 mile course between Las Palmas and St Lucia at an average speed over 7 knots. Only a few days preceding this, Wipaca, another Lagoon 450 was victorious on corrected time in the ARC + Multihull Division.
For the first time in the history of the ARC, the Lagoon multihull has won on both courses and we must not forget that two Lagoon 400s and two more Lagoon 450s finished in the top 10!
These commendable results once again demonstrate the perfect balance between the performance and comfort on board Lagoon catamarans.
Congratulations to all the crews!
